I have a Cat 236 that won't turn over. Battery tested ok, cables and contacts are all good and the starter tests ok when jumped across the solenoid. I have a 259D (FTL14492) (ESN 8HN5725), with a rather confusing issue. cold: with key no start. key on engine off if you press in the relay it will start. I have a Cat 257b tracked skid steer, dash lights come on with ignition in run position but when I turn it to start position it's not energizing the start relay in the engine compartment. I have disassembled the instrument cluster to test the ignition, it is testing good.
