Just bought one. Oakes mfg. oakes north dakota. 16 hp onan twin. 2 belt driven hydraulic pumps. about 1750 lbs. with bucket. I am having a hard time finding information on this skid steer. any info you have would be appreciated. I have regretted buying a mini skid steer But only because I should have bought a better one Stay away from older bobcat Mt 50s Get a 52 or a 55 Don't get any Mt 50 I really like the dingo Everything about dingo I like But we're a bobcat company So we're probsbly going to get an Mt 85 I think it's like 40 grand In my own yard most work I do is with a skid steer, but there isn't any grass so it doesn't matter. When I take it to my parent's home which is all lawn, I follow a few steps. Never use a wheeled loader on a wet or very dry lawn, wet soil ruts and dry grass will be flattened and die from the weight of the loader. Never ran a skid steer but I have loaded plenty of equipment (excavators, backhoes, dozers, pavers). If you load forward, your bucket will act as added weight/leverage to teeter sooner but if you load in reverse, your bucket will prevent you from flipping over if positioned right. Just bought one. That truck saw crazy abuse and put food on the table for years. However it would have to be a smaller skid steer and a light trailer for me to regularly haul with a 1/2ton.
