I have a few questions about a 940 E i've been working on. The previous owner . I have a early 90s 940. Rebuilt the chain cases at 2300 hours but never another problem. I have no experience with the newer machines but the old mechanical operated machines seem to be bulletproof. As with most internet searches for equipment reviews, you typically only find those folks with bad experiences and looking to vent. As someone looking to add a skid steer on a modest budget to the farm, I've found several Mustang's in my price range but I'm leary based on lack of positive reviews. I ran across a Mustang 940 skid steer with low hours. Just wondering if people have experience operating these skids? What controls are used on these machines? Are parts readily available? I have attached a picture of the one Im looking at. Thanks for your input.

I am going to look at a used mid-1990's Mustang 940 for sale (asking 00). Are these overall good machines and relatively easy to work on? Are the parts still available? What should I look for specifically when checking out a used unit?

I am now going to change both hydraulic, fuel, and change the oil and filter. I am planning on Rotella T for the oil change. I was thinking about changing the hydraulic fluid but can't find any information on how to do it. I have a few questions about a 940 E i've been working on. I've been looking for a used skid steer to finish the grade on the house we just bought, clearing the driveway and for all the useful side benefits of having one I came across a good deal on a Case 1845C but it was sold when I got there.
