We currently have a Gehl 4840 skid steer. First problem to occur is machine shut off and continuously popped circuit breaker 1. When my skid steer gets down about 5 gallons it starts spitting and skipping and eventually will stall. It draws fuel off the bottom so i don't understand why at 5 gallons it start doing this. If you have another machine, hook up a chain/strap some how to the back end of the cab (I call back end the radiator end). from the front of the machine and with the chain on top, pull with a machine or a truck. I'm thinking of trading in my 5 year old compact tractor on an older skid steer. Figured I'd look for something early to mid 2000s with no more then 2000 hours. Online the dealer had a Gehl 4840 with 1500 or so hours so I went in to have a look. That machine was sold. So, Manager showed me a 1997 Gehl 5635sx that's on the lot.
