Hey im having trouble with starting a Case 1840, when I go to start it all I get is this clicking sound, im guessing its got something to do with the starter motor, the thing is I had just arc welded the muffler tip back on, I disconnected the battery so I figured it wasnt a problem its not like I connected the clamp to one side of the bobcat and welded on the other any way . Looking for advice on a mini skid. I have a s160 and it works perfect for 70% of my landscaping installs (gravel, mulch, sod, patios, boulders, etc). Most access is around that 6 ft mark which is why I have this size. The other 30% I need a smaller width machine, 3ft.

I was looking at the mclaren industries tracks for it, however today a friend of mine told me these will destroy your skid steer. This doesn't make much sense to me, I would think if this were the case no one would use them. Is there any truth to this?

We have a Bradco backhoe too. We use it with our 246 CAT skid steer. Not sure of the model # but it's the biggest one they make. They are powerful enough. Max depth is around 11'. It is a pain getting in and out of the cab to move around. If you have enough work a mini excavator is the way to go. CASE elected to leave the market entirely after the 1825B.
