Central Iowa I have EH controls, I read the manual, the way I understand it is you squeeze the rh trigger then move the joystick down and release it and it is suppose to go into float.The skid steer can be used for leveling by placing the bucket in the dump position and backdragging loose soil. The tilt of the bucket will control the amount of soil that is transported. Place the boom control valve spool in the detent (float) position to allow the bucket to follow the ground contour and deposit soil in the low areas. To float the bucket, I can feel the joystick control go forward through the detent to the float position. However, when I move the lever to the right (bucket dump position) while still being in float mode the bucket will tilt and raise the front wheels off the ground.
