Hello, I am looking at purchasing a 2000 year model 270 Deere skidsteer. I am purchasing at a local Deere dealership. It has 2040 hours , very good shape inside and out. It has a cab with heat no a/c. New tires. Price is 19,000$ . . The electric brake lock on my 270 started to act up by coming on by itself. I got away with cycling the park switch a few times but now it's totally non-functional and I can't move the machine or run any hydraulics. The seat belt light is .
My 2000 260 skid steer parking brake won't release and the boom won't raise. The left pedal will not unlock however the right one does, allowing the bucket to operate when the motor is running. The engine runs for about 15 minutes at 1/3 throttle, then blows a 15 amp fuse to the key switch. The cab harness and the display have been replaced.
