Skid steer is pretty easy to move around in tight areas. A telehandler will be harder but if you know how to use the steering modes (especially crab steering) you can make it work. If you need to move a lot of stuff I would go for the telehandler, if it’s just a little bit use a skid steer. In Farming Simulator 17, Loaders come in four different varieties: Front Loaders: Specially-modified Tractors fitted with a Front Loading Arm. Wheel Loaders: Large tractor-like vehicles designed specifically for heavy-duty shoveling. Skid Steer Loaders: Small and nimble forklifts designed primarily for lifting Pallets.Classic Telehandlers use "All-Wheel Steering" to improve maneuverability, making them almost as nimble as Skid Steer Loaders despite their size. They can switch to "Front-Steering" and "Crab-Steering" as well, when needed. I prefer front loaders for general uses, but telehandlers have the best weight compensation. Skid steer brings tight maneuverability to the table but they have limited reach and load capacity. In order; tele is best, front forks are cheap, skids are tight space happy.

Skid steer is great in tight spaces, but the drawback is they can't lift too heavy of things or they tip over. There are modded skids out there that you can add weight to the back that work better for that. Vanilla game though, the telehandlers can lift a lot more and add weight to the back (with some mods).Farming Simulator 17 offers nine different Loading Tools for Skid Steers. These can all be found in the "Skid Steer Loaders" category at the store. Skid Steer Tools will only attach to a Skid Steer's arm - they cannot be fitted to any other vehicle in the base game.
