Hey guys, I just wanted to share with you my truck plow to skid steer "snow removal beast" conversion. I was able to come across a fisher HD 8' snowplow that was in almost new condition but it did not have the pump or lights or mounting frame for a vehicle. Converting a truck mounted plow to fit a skid steer is very easy to do. The most expensive parts for me were the couplers but I made the mistake of buying them at a John Deere dealer when I should've purchased them at any farm supply store for much less.
I'm going tomorrow to pick up a 7'6" Western Pro-Plow that I bought cheap enough to chop up and mount on my 751. All I want to do with this is plow snow...no 'summer bulldozer' duty for it. I know better. Questions...and I know some of you (Ken in particular) have BTDT.. Never done this before, but the one thing I can add from experience adapting different plow A-frames to different trucks; Make sure when you drop the plow down to the ground to plow, the pivot point of the plow will be plumb.
