Some transport devices have D-rings, chain slots or built-in strap rails that allow you to easily connect your machine to the trailer. From what i can read, they need at minimum tied at 4 corners with tie downs whose combined working load limit equals at least 1/2 the weight of the machine. I can't find a single reg that requires chains and binders.
