The E100 Operator's Manual explains the service indicator. Per the manual they don't list an oil change at 8 hrs. If it were my mower I would still do one. The hourmeter (A) shows the number of hours the engine has run. The service reminder will indicate that a general lubrication (B) or mower/engine (C) service interval has been reached. Key on, blower on, temp control on cold, and A/C switch on should supply 12 volts to the pressure switch and from there should go to the compressor. If no voltage to connector at pressure switch, remove the seat and cover under seat to access the thermostat control.
